1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using CLT Food Truck Events ("the Platform"), operated at cltfoodtruckevents.com, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use the Platform.
2. Description of Service
CLT Food Truck Events is a marketplace platform that connects food trucks, caterers, and venues in the Charlotte, NC area. The Platform facilitates the discovery, booking, and management of food truck events and catering services. We do not directly provide food services, venue spaces, or catering.
3. User Accounts
To access certain features of the Platform, you must create an account. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activities that occur under your account. You must provide accurate and complete information when creating your account and keep it updated.
4. User Types
The Platform supports three user types: Venues, Food Trucks, and Caterers. Each user type has specific features and responsibilities. Venues can post available time slots. Food Trucks and Caterers can apply to book those slots and may also be listed in the public catering directory.
5. Booking and Payments
Food trucks and caterers pay a flat $15 booking fee per confirmed slot. Venues use the Platform free of charge. All payments are processed securely. Refund requests are handled on a case-by-case basis by our admin team.
6. Trust Factor and Account Status
Food trucks and caterers are assigned a Trust Factor (Green, Yellow, or Red) based on their reliability. Late cancellations (within 48 hours of an event) and no-shows may result in strikes against your Trust Factor. Accumulating strikes may lead to account restrictions or freezing. Details of the Trust Factor system are available on the Platform.
7. Cancellation Policy
Users may cancel bookings at any time, but cancellations within 48 hours of the event start time may count as a strike against the cancelling party's Trust Factor. Venue-initiated cancellations do not affect the food truck's or caterer's Trust Factor. All cancellations require a reason and both parties are notified.
8. Insurance Requirements
Food trucks and caterers are required to upload a valid Certificate of Insurance (COI) before applying to any time slots. The Platform does not verify the validity or coverage of uploaded insurance documents. Users are responsible for maintaining adequate insurance coverage.
9. User Conduct
You agree not to use the Platform for any unlawful purpose, to misrepresent your identity or business, to harass other users, to submit false reviews, or to interfere with the proper functioning of the Platform.
10. Content and Intellectual Property
You retain ownership of content you submit to the Platform (photos, descriptions, logos). By uploading content, you grant CLT Food Truck Events a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to display that content on the Platform for the purpose of operating the service.
11. Limitation of Liability
CLT Food Truck Events is a marketplace and is not responsible for the quality of food, venue conditions, disputes between users, or any damages arising from interactions facilitated through the Platform. We provide the Platform "as is" without warranties of any kind.
12. Termination
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate any account at our discretion, particularly in cases of repeated violations of these terms, fraudulent activity, or behavior that harms the Platform community.
13. Changes to Terms
We may update these Terms of Service from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last updated" date. Continued use of the Platform after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
